About Deere Valley Farm

Deere Valley farm is a family owned farming operation located in the agricultural reserve of Montgomery County, Maryland. The land that is currently being farmed together by the 3rd, 4th, and 5th generations originally began operating as a dairy farm almost 100 years ago. Although the focus has changed from milking dairy cows to breeding a beef herd, the same dedication to farming and family still exists today. The Baker family takes tremendous pride in the stewardship and cultivation of the land they have been entrusted.

Deere Valley Farm Products

Here’s some information on the types of products our farming operation provides.

Grain

DVF produces corn, soybeans, and wheat on roughly 2,000 acres on the farm and in surrounding areas.

Livestock

DVF currently operates a cow/calf operation where we breed our cows with our bulls and raise calves. We also grind our own feed to feed our pasture-raised cows. We are looking forward to providing retail sales of our farm-raised meats through our on site farm market.

Hay

DVF makes small square and round bales of horse quality orchard and mixed grass hay. We take pride in the hay we make to offer to the large equine in our area.

The Farm Market is Open Year Round!

The Market at Deere Valley is open year round. We have a wide array of our farm raised beef, pork , lamb, goat and chicken products. We also carry a wide, unique assortment of local products perfect for gifts or personal enjoyment.
